The annual surfing competition in Real, Quezon Province, known locally as “PASARIPOY” (meaning “sumabay sa alon“), has become a prominent surfing event in the Philippine surfing scene.   • Best time to surf: Surfing season starts from August and lasts until March but best chance of good waves are from October to February (Real Tourism, 2021).
  • Travel: 3-4 hour drive from Manila
