PASARIPOY 2024 National Surfing Competition is the 3rd Leg of the 2024 Pilipinas Surfing National Tour. This event is brought to you by the Municipal Government of Real in partnership with the Municipal Tourism Council of Real and the Realeño Surfing Association.
This competition is sanctioned by the United Philippine Surfing Association (UPSA) and is is recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee.

Organizer
Established in 2022, the Realeño Surfing Association (RSA) is a local surfing organization based in Real, Quezon Province, Philippines. It is dedicated to promoting and developing surfing in the region, providing opportunities for local surfers to compete, learn, and grow.
Real, officially the Municipality of Real, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. Presently, the local government unit is headed by Hon. Diana Abigail D. Aquino.
The local government of Real has been actively working to promote the town’s development and improve the lives of its residents. Some of the key initiatives include tourism development, infrastructure development, agriculture and fisheries support, and social services.

The Barracuda Spot in Barangay Lubayat, Real, Quezon Province is a popular surfing destination known for its consistent waves and challenging break.
The annual surfing competition in Real, Quezon Province, known locally as “PASARIPOY” (meaning “sumabay sa alon“), has become a prominent surfing event in the Philippine surfing scene. Since its inception in 2015, the competition has consistently attracted a large number of participants and tourists, including both local and professional surfers from across the country.

- Challenging break: The break at the Barracuda Spot is known for being challenging, with powerful barrels and steep drops. It is a popular spot for experienced surfers looking for a thrill.
Additional Tips:
- Best time to surf: Surfing season starts from August and lasts until March but best chance of good waves are from October to February (Real Tourism, 2021).
