Surf in the City Borongan
Surf in the City Borongan is the 6th and final leg of the Pilipinas Surfing National Tour.
This event is brought to you by the Provincial Government of Eastern Samar through the Municipal Government of Borongan.
This competition is sanctioned by the United Philippine Surfing Association (UPSA) and is is recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee.
Surf in the City Borongan is organized by the Borongan City Tourism Office in collaboration with the Surfriders Club of Eastern Samar (SCES).

The Surfriders Club of Eastern Samar Inc. (SCES), established in 1998, is a surf club dedicated to nurturing the next generation of surfers. As frontline guardians of the local surfing community, they are committed to guiding young athletes to reach their full potential. The club provides practical advice, training, and support, helping these athletes enhance their skills and tailor their abilities to succeed in the sport. Their mission is to lead the way in the development of surfing talent in Eastern Samar, fostering both athletic and personal growth.
The City of Borongan is a component city and the provincial capital of the province of Eastern Samar, Philippines. Its cityhood was settled by the Supreme Court of the Philippines when it decided with finality on April 12, 2011 the constitutionality of its city charter, Republic Act 9394, which conferred upon and elevated the status of the municipality of Borongan into a component city of the province of Eastern Samar.
